We are deeply rooted in the belief that the homes we built are much more than just concrete, steel, and wood. They are places where lives unfold, families grow, and dreams take shape. Homes for us are places which reflect our personal dignity and give the ones who live in them the much-needed feeling of safety and belongingness.
For far too long, the critical need for safe, stable, and affordable housing has been a pressing challenge faced by families struggling under the weight of financial hardship. Without a home, building a stable future becomes an almost insurmountable task. This understanding has compelled us to look beyond our commercial projects and ask a vital question: How can we leverage our unique skills, resources, and expertise to make a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most?
With profound commitment and a shared sense of purpose, we are proud to announce the launch of the Aarambh Lifestyle Residences — a low income subsidised housing project where eligible candidates can avail the facility of loans through our banking partners.
"Buying a small home (even through a loan) allows you to redirect the money you would have paid as rent towards building equity and wealth for yourself and your family. It's a way of transforming recurring expenses into a long-term investment for our family, something that can be passed on to your children after you.
We believe that when you rent a home or apartment, you pay money to your landlord every month. This money is gone forever and only makes the landlord richer. It's a necessary expense for shelter, but it provides no long-term financial benefit. After years of renting, you have no ownership stake in the property. However, when the same monthly rent is diverted to pay the loan mortgage, you build your own equity.
The money that would have gone to paying rent is now being used to acquire an asset — something that has value and that you own. You're effectively investing in yourself and your future.
This project was conceived by Arnav Singla, a Class 10 student, after he saw the kind of money that the daily wagers in the company and the house help were giving away as rent for years. This money could have bought them their own homes — this inspired him to take the lead and conceive this project to help them build their own security.
The Hindi word "Aarambh" means a start or a beginning. Today was the beginning of our quest to help daily wagers and their families fulfil their dream of owning their own HOME. Standing in the plot which will soon commence the foundation laying work for the apartments gave me immense joy. It all started with the story of our gardener who struggled with paying his house rent – he was standing there right beside me encouraging me to START our journey together. A journey full of hope and compassion. After all, every child deserves a home!!!
